Key Features

Deswik.JF automates joint mapping from the scan of a rock face. The user enters a point cloud file (3D coordinates) and input parameters, and Deswik.JF delineates the estimated joints on the wall.

Typical execution times are up to 2 minutes. Achieving the same results manually would take several hours or days.
The wall can be scanned with any hardware (laser scanner, cameras), either fixed or mobile.
The user can control the outputs by setting geometrical constraints based on field observations. The final outputs seen on the screen are the polygons of the joints and the stereonet.
