You will be a key member of our platform and operations capability, working to enhance the entire software development lifecycle. You’ll build the foundation that allows our product teams to deliver value to customers efficiently and securely. As a key member of our engineering team, you won’t just be keeping the lights on; you’ll be shaping the future of how Deswik builds and delivers software.

• Own the blueprint for our cloud platform. You'll have the autonomy to design and implement our core infrastructure on AWS, making critical decisions on everything from our CI/CD strategy in GitHub Actions to our observability stack.
• Solve the complex puzzle of modernising our core applications. You’ll lead the charge on our strategic cloud migration, tackling the unique challenges of re-platforming enterprise-grade .NET workloads for performance and scalability on AWS.
• Act as a 'force multiplier' for 150+ engineers. By embedding with development teams, you’ll automate their workflows, streamline their path to production, and champion a culture of "you build it, you run it."
• Build the foundation for what's next. The platform you create today will be the launchpad for our future, giving you the opportunity to introduce and scale modern technologies like EKS, serverless, and more.

As a skilled DevOps Engineer, you will be adaptable to different technical environments, with demonstrated commercial experience in the following technologies and concepts:

• Cloud Platforms: Deep experience with a major cloud provider, preferably AWS.
• CI/CD Tools: Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions for building and managing pipelines (or similar tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Deep proficiency with the AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) using TypeScript or Python. Experience with other tools like Terraform or native CloudFormation is also valuable.
• Containerisation & Orchestration: Sound knowledge of Docker and experience with a container orchestrator like EKS, Kubernetes, or Docker Swarm.
• Scripting: Competency in at least one scripting language such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Operating Systems: Experience managing both Windows and Linux environments.
• Observability: Experience with AWS native monitoring tools like Amazon CloudWatch and AWS X-Ray, alongside frameworks like Prometheus or Grafana
