Come join our growing team in Jakarta as a Senior Mining Engineer (Consultant). We are looking for an experienced Deswik software user whose primary expertise is in either underground or open-pit metals.
Use your technical expertise in mine planning software to consult with customers on Deswik's software implementations across Indonesia.
There will be significant travel to customer sites across Indonesia and the Asia Pacific (APAC) region in this role.

There will be significant travel to customer sites across Indonesia and the Asia Pacific (APAC) region in this role.
What You’ll Do:
- Work with Deswik’s highly specialised mine planning software across multiple customers, commodities, mine types and operations.
- Consult with customers on mine design, production planning and scheduling, cost modelling, operational optimization projects and mine planning system implementations
- Use your operational experience and technical skills to provide consulting services to customers as you implement Deswik’s enterprise software products across customer mine sites.
- Travel to customer sites across Indonesia and the APAC region for scoping, software implementations, and training.
- Work alongside Deswik’s highly experienced engineers and software professionals
- Become involved in product fixes and enhancements to help improve our software offerings.
- Assist with business development and account management activities.
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering or equivalent.
- 8+ years’ experience as an underground or open-pit metals mining engineer
- Operational experience in site-based roles
- Demonstrated competency in mine design, scheduling and production roles.
- An experienced Deswik software user, ideally in multiple modules and products (Deswik.Suite, Deswik.OPS, Deswik.MDM).
- An aptitude for clear communication (verbal and written) and fluency in both Bahasa and English
- The ability to influence and manage customer relationships.
- A passion for innovation and a desire to grow and learn.
- Delivers what they promise to a high standard
- Someone who enjoys frequent travel as part of their work
