Deswik.OPS is a multi-user, web application at the forefront of our offerings in the operations space. This industry leading software allows users to perform short term and operational planning, shift execution and data capture, all in one place.
For this newly created role, we’re looking for a Team Leader who can guide development as we evolve Deswik.OPS to continue to meet the needs of our growing customer base.
This is a hands-on role where you will lead a small team of Software Engineers based in our Brisbane Software Development Hub and Head office

What You Will Do:
- Lead a team of highly skilled software developers on a technically challenging product that revolutionises the way our customers work
- Conduct 1:1s, annual check-ins, and provide performance feedback
- Work with the Product Managers to estimate and scope work for the team
- Project Manage the work that the team delivers, facilitate daily stand-ups and retros, review PRs
- Provide coaching to team members to support professional development
- Drive excellence in software engineering practices and techniques within the team
- Strive to maintain the well-being of your team and ensure they remain happy, focused and determined to regularly deliver valuable new software to our customers
The Tech Stack
We are looking for a Team Leader who is also a skilled software engineer.
From a technical perspective, you will be adaptable to different technical environments. We use the following range of technologies and techniques in our work:

- C# .NET (or if you have used C++ or Java or similar languages then that’s cool too)
- HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (AJAX, JSON, etc) & Typescript
- Modern front end JavaScript frameworks
- ASP.net, .NET Core
- SQL Server and some use of ORM (Entity Framework or similar)
- Automated testing techniques and frameworks
What you bring
- Experienced at leading a small team of friendly and skilled Software Engineers
- Experienced at delivering performance feedback, conducting 1:1s and managing team performance
- Someone who cares about creating a team environment that people enjoy working in
- Comfortable attending meetings with internal and external stakeholders and managing expectations
- Hold a Bachelor of Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar.
- Commitment to code quality and maintainability
- Bonus points for experience in a product-based environment with a customer-centric culture.
