Senior Mining Consultant – Operations (ORB)

Use your mining experience in a new way - implement Deswik.ORB software in underground caving operations and train and support customers on how to maximise its value for their business.

Deswik.ORB is our real-time production dispatch and cave management tool for underground caving operations. It helps customers:

• Dispatch equipment in real time

• Automate draw strategies and manage caving constraints

• Replace daily draw meetings with continuous draw strategies and automated handling of complex caving and operational constraints 

• Visualise operations in real-time with configurable compliance dashboards  

• Optimise for a combination of throughput, compliance and/or attribute blend 

• Integrate with third party systems through configurable data API’s 

• Track operations through real-time dashboards

What You’ll Do 

Work with our mining customers to implement Deswik software, train and provide support. You will do this in person on-site and sometimes remotely from the office. You will be confident speaking with a range of stakeholders onsite – from crew, operations to leadership.  
Expect frequent travel (e.g. quarterly), to mine sites across the APAC region as well as internationally to support Deswik teams worldwide. 
 

What You’ll Do 

Work with our mining customers to implement Deswik software, train and provide support. You will do this in person on-site and sometimes remotely from the office. You will be confident speaking with a range of stakeholders onsite – from crew, operations to leadership.  
Expect frequent travel (e.g. quarterly), to mine sites across the APAC region as well as internationally to support Deswik teams worldwide. 

On-site, you will:  

• Build relationships with mine site teams 

• Teach customers how to use Deswik.ORB software 

• Configure the software to suit customer requirements 

• Find and report software issues to help improve our products 

When you’re not on-site, you will:  

• Work from our Adelaide or Brisbane office 

•  Plan future customer implementation projects and champion product innovation ideas

• Provide remote support for existing Deswik.ORB customers 

• Test software and give feedback to our development team  

• Help improve Deswik’s internal processes 

• Support business development activities

About You

You may be a Senior Mining Engineer, Operational Superintendent, Mine Control Supervisor, or someone in a similar role with strong underground mining experience. You are confident working with complex software and are looking for an opportunity to broaden your technical, consulting, and business skills while supporting a global customer base.

• Underground block caving experience (planning or operations)
