- Site-based Mining Engineer with strong Deswik software experience
- FIFO role at Freeport Indonesia – 6 weeks on / 1 week off (dayshift)
- Bahasa Indonesia & English required

This role sits at the point where mine planning systems meet real production pressure. As the onsite National Technical Expert at Freeport, you’ll help engineers, planners, and super-users get consistent value from Deswik software.
You won’t be selling ideas from a distance. You’ll be embedded on site, trusted by the customer, and backed by Deswik’s global engineering and product teams.

What You’ll Be Responsible For
Onsite Technical Support
Be the first point of contact for Deswik software users at site - supporting issue resolution, guiding best practice use, and escalating through formal Deswik support processes when needed.
Consulting & System Improvement
Apply your mining engineering experience (underground, particularly block-caving) to review workflows, analyse system configurations, and recommend improvements aligned to Freeport’s operational needs.
Training That Sticks
Deliver structured and over‑the‑shoulder training in Bahasa Indonesia and English - classroom, office, and underground - supporting the development of site Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and super users.
Product & Software Engagement
Work closely with Deswik product, software, and support teams to reproduce issues, test new functionality, and provide practical feedback grounded in site reality.
Project & Change Support
Contribute to improvement projects, rollout activities, and change initiatives -supporting scope definition, delivery, and adoption onsite.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mining engineering (or equivalent)
- 3+ years’ experience in site-based mining engineering roles
- Practical experience with Deswik software and related planning tools
- Significant experience in underground metals, specifically block caving operations
- Strong communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English
- Ability to work effectively on a FIFO roster in a site environment
- Indonesian Citizenship
