A customer's guide to the Deswik Training Portal

New to Deswik? Our online training is free and available anytime via the Deswik Training Portal, providing access to training for our core products.

Accessing the Training Portal

To access our online training, you will need a Deswik Client Portal account. If you do not have an account, you can register for one: https://clientportal.deswik.com/RegisterUpdate


Click the Training menu item or the Go To The Training Portal link.

My Training

Training 02

By default, your My Training space will be loaded with the following training profiles:

  • Getting Started with Deswik Spatial
  • Getting Started with Deswik Planning
  • Deswik Essentials

Module Cards

Training 03

The module cards show details about the course such as delivery type, expected duration, and available languages. They also include a Launch or Resume button to access the training. Click the ellipses icon to access further options:


  • About: Click About to display a panel that shows the module overview and outline:

  • Obtain License: If required, you can download a temporary three-day training license. The system will allow you to download two licenses per module. If more are required, use the License Request function to send a request to your regional training team for approval.

  • Download Files: Use this option to download datasets or associated training material.

Launching and Resuming Training

If you click the Launch button, the training will open in a new browser tab. You can stop or resume the training at any time.

Module Review

Once you complete a module, either self-paced or instructor-led, the module card will be moved to your Module Review space. You will be able to review the content at any time in the future and Deswik will update content so you will always see the latest training.

The Training Catalog is organized by Sector and Competency, but filters are available to help find the course that you want. As on the module cards, click the ellipsis icon to see the information about a course.


A Profiles view of the Training Catalog is also available to show the recommended training pathway for a variety of roles and skillsets.
