This is your chance to join Deswik’s Asia Pacific (APAC) consulting team as a Mining Consultant – Operations (Underground Metals). Reporting to our Brisbane office, you will be the trusted expert helping customers succeed across Eastern Australia, APAC and beyond.

• Work with Deswik’s highly regarded short term mine planning solution, Deswik.OPS, travelling extensively across multiple customers, commodities, mine types and operations
• Support our customers during software implementations, providing technical expertise, customised software configurations and training solutions.
• Implementations include elements of short-term mine planning, shift scheduling, dispatching, data collection & reporting.
• Participate in the sales process, scoping and building customised configurations, identifying project risks and change management issues. 
• Draw on your underground operational experience to act as a trusted advisor to customers, identifying needs and architecting effective solutions.
• Work alongside highly experienced engineers, geologists and software professionals
• Provide input into software improvements and assist with scoping and testing new features.

We are looking for someone with extensive underground metals operational experience. You will have exposure to monthly/weekly short term mine planning, Mine control room or shift supervisory experience. 
  

• 5+ years’ experience in underground metals mining
• Excellent software skills (Deswik software a distinct advantage)
• Demonstrated experience in short term planning and operational roles
• Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
• Experience in training and customer support is a plus
• A flair for consulting and managing customer relationships
• A passion for innovation and a desire to grow and learn
• Open to travel to sites across Australia and potentially internationally
